Common pathogens of respiratory infectious diseases include the novel coronavirus, influenza virus, pneumonia chlamydia, respiratory syncytial virus, etc., mainly transmitted through respiratory droplets, inhalation of aerosols containing pathogens, or close contact. Scientifically wearing masks is an effective measure to prevent respiratory infectious diseases. To guide the public in wearing masks scientifically and effectively protect public health, these guidelines are formulated.
1.Situations or Scenes Requiring Mask Wearing
Individuals infected with respiratory infectious diseases such as novel coronavirus, influenza, pneumonia chlamydia, respiratory syncytial virus, etc., when entering indoor public places or having close contact with others (distance less than 1 meter, the same below).
Individuals with symptoms of respiratory infectious diseases such as fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, muscle aches, fatigue, etc., when entering indoor public places or having close contact with others.
When seeking medical care, accompanying someone for medical treatment, or visiting medical facilities.
During the peak period of respiratory infectious diseases, when external personnel enter nursing homes, social welfare institutions, childcare institutions, and other places with vulnerable populations.
During the peak period of respiratory infectious diseases, when healthcare, catering, cleaning, security, and other public service personnel are working in key institutions such as nursing homes, social welfare institutions, childcare institutions, and schools.
2.Recommended Situations or Scenes for Wearing Masks
During the peak period of respiratory infectious diseases, when using public transportation such as airplanes, trains, long-distance buses, ships, subways, and buses.
During the peak period of respiratory infectious diseases, when entering enclosed and crowded places such as supermarkets, cinemas, passenger stations, and enclosed elevators.
During the peak period of respiratory infectious diseases, when elderly people, individuals with chronic underlying diseases, pregnant women, etc., enter indoor public places.
